IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A TRUSTABLE AND PROFESSIONAL BROKER, LOOK NO FURTHER!!
Highly recommended!! Since our first meeting I could tell that Rodrigo was looking after my best interest. I relocated from London and had no idea what type of building/area was best for me. Rodrigo was super helpful, provided me with a detailed overview of the real estate in NY and showed me countless apartments in various neighborhood, from walk ups to luxury high raises. Rodrigo’s valuable suggestions were not limited to apartments. He proved to be very resourceful and helped me with furniture, utilities and some initial admin. We even went together to a local storage place which I needed for the stuff I shipped from London. Rodrigo was always on time, professional and even helped me negotiating better terms. Seriously, look no further and call Rodrigo now!!

By far one of the best PEOPLE I've ever met!!! We were lucky enough to meet Rodrigo De Faria while looking for an apartment for my daughter who had landed an amazing summer internship opportunity in New York City. We had very little time to look and were initially nervous with her move and apprehensive about finding just the right place for our daughter. We needed an apartment with proximity to her job, at a reasonable price and above all, in a safe area. Rodrigo went above and beyond to assure that we found just the right place that had the right amenities but more importantly, he was kind, thoughtful, trustworthy and incredibly patient with me as a novice dealing with the complex NY real estate system. When hope seamed lost, Rodrigo was so caring and compassionate that he even went as far as looking for options for us in apartments where he knew he would not receive compensation....now that is self-sacrificing and unheard of! I could go on and on....Rodrigo always does the right thing and prides himself on providing superior, concierge customer service! Rodrigo works like crazy and makes you feel like family! "

Rodrigo was absolutely fantastic. We were moving from Chicago and had very little time and idea on how the NYC process worked. Rodrigo was patient through the entire process and helped us find an apartment we love. When we were able to be in the city, he FaceTimed us with options, and when we did make it to the city, he made a great scheduled that allowed us to see tons of places within our criteria. In addition, he took the lead to organize AC units since we were coming to the city so late and inspect the apartment before we arrived. We are so thankful for Rodrigo, we are thrilled with our new home, and would highly recommend Citi Habitats and Rodrigo to everyone!

I turned to Citi Habits for my second apartment rental downtown. I was set up with Rodrigo Defaria and he was one of the kindest men that I have ever met. Aside from finding me the perfect place and being incredibly patient with my requests, he really took my personal interests to heart as a major factor in the apartments I was shown. He truly cared about finding me the perfect home, and as I sit on my new bed in my new apartment right now, I could not be any happier. This is truly the best experience I have ever had working with a company and I highly recommend Rodrigo for all of your apartment needs in New York City. Follow his dog on Instagram if you get a chance; he is the sweetest Cocker Spaniel you will ever see. This was the best experience I've ever had trying to use a broker. He is in the customer service business and truly cares about your best interests. Rodrigo is the best broker I have ever worked with and I highly recommend working with him.

I RECOMMEND WORKING WITH RODRIGO!
I was very apprehensive about searching for my first apartment in Manhattan. Fortunately, it could not have gone much better thanks to Rodrigo de Faria. He showed me and my boyfriend several apartments on various occasions and was flexible in listening to our changing criteria. He was incredibly punctual and responsive. He walked us through the process of securing our apartment while we were abroad (not easy). Finally, he had our apartment cleaned when the management company would not clean it prior to move-in and sent us a house-warming gift. The process of finding the right apartment in the city can be daunting, especially with some untrustworthy brokers out there and incredibly high costs associated with simply signing the right lease. To make the experience less stressful and actually enjoyable, I recommend working with Rodrigo!

IT'S AN OLD ADAGE THAT IT'S BETTER IN LIFE TO BE LUCKY THAN GOOD.
It's an old adage that it's better in life to be lucky than good. Boy was that true when I strolled into the Greenwich Village Citi Habitats office to start the process of renting my Village apartment and was partnered up with Rodrigo De Faria. I didn't have to be good, Rodrigo proved to be great so I just could follow his lead and let him run at his high speeds to the finish line. I expected this to be a 4 month process and it was more like 6 weeks thanks to Rodrigo. He's an outstanding communicator so we always knew where things stood. When there was a problem, like a broken medicine cabinet, it was remedied in a flash. Could not have been better. Great guy too so he's the complete package. In fact, my wife and I are considering a local move and he's already on the case for that sending me listings he thinks are in line with our needs and desires. Could not be more pleased and look forward to continuing to work with Rodrigo on other real estate needs.

GREAT JOB
My husband and I worked with Ming Chan and Rodrigo De Faria to find a rental in Manhattan. they were wonderful and understood exactly what we needed. They found several apartments that suited our needs and were incredibly organized and efficient in setting up our viewing appointments. In the past, I used to do all the legwork and just went through large managing agent firms in order to avoid the realtor's fee. However, I found that Citi, Rodrigo, and Ming especially was worth paying for the service. Our landlord lived out of town and Rodrigo and Ming along with the listing broker, another Citi realtor had to hunt her down every step of the way with all the logistics involved - and they did a great job. I highly recommend using Rodrigo De Faria and Ming Chan.

When you start looking for a good Realtor, you don't know what to expect and if he or she will represent you properly. I am a Licenced Realtor in NJ and I was completely lost looking in NY, until I met Ming and Rodrigo of Citi Habitats. Two professionals who worked very diligently to help our family, did an outstanding job!!!! Research, daily interaction, responding immediately and always focused on saving the day with good properties and very well planned tours. I AM EXTREMELY GRATEFUL FOR HIS HELP.
I moved to Manhattan from Virginia with extremely limited time to find a new apartment. I had one day to tour potential units and about a week after to sign a new lease. Luckily, Rodrigo De Faria was able to help me plan and coordinate everything. He was extremely transparent and upfront about what I could expect from the house hunting process. On just one day, Rodrigo showed me over ten different rentals, adjusting each show based on my reaction to the last. He then brought me back to my favorite and helped me submit my application. When I had difficulty getting my application processed quickly, Rodrigo was still there to help chase down the appropriate people and get me moved in. I could not have made the move without him, and I am extremely grateful for his help.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
My husband and I just moved to New York and Rodrigo de Faria was fantastic helping us find a place. Being new to the country, we had no credit history, so our paperwork requirements were unusual and we were expecting to find some bumps along the way, but Rodrigo made it all really smooth and helped us find a place we really love, and under budget! He helped us in a way that is beyond professional and still checks up on us from time to time. We will probably stay in this apartment for a long time, but we're definitely working with him again next time we move. Highly recommended!

Having lived in Manhattan for years and experienced a range of brokers, my husband and I were floored by the incredible work of Rodrigo De Faria and Ming Chan. We had to break our lease and find new tenants, and Rodrigo and Ming worked overtime to make that happen for us. I worked with Rodrigo & Ming on getting my apartment in the Upper West Side of Manhattan rented at the beginning of Spring 2017. I was in the process of planning my move to Europe and had very little time to devote to advertising my apartment on rental websites like Zillow, Trulia, Craigslist etc. I was becoming concerned, as it had come down to the final few weeks prior to my departure and I still had no interested parties in my apartment. I went to them with my immensely time sensitive challenge, to which they met the situation head on; and immediately got to work on the process. They came over and took pictures within the first 24 hours after I reached out. They were both very warm, friendly and maintained the utmost professionalism from day one. They worked tirelessly to organize open houses and advertise my place; and within one week of reaching out to them I already had several inquiries for my flat. I rented my apartment fully furnished and was a little uneasy about someone coming in with all of my furniture paintings and décor. They listened to my requirements and concerns, and provided expertise in what they thought were the selling points of my flat. Once there was a potential renter (who viewed the apartment via video tour as they were abroad at the time), Ming and Rodrigo handled everything with the new tenants and myself. Everything from background checks, credit checks, lease creation and signing, to handing over the keys to the new tenants. Rodrigo & Ming also did a walk through and performed a thorough inventory of what was in the apartment with the renters. Most of this was taken care of with me already in Europe and not able to have much involvement. One of the most prominent qualities that they both possessed was their ability to communicate effectively. This was done on a near daily basis via text, e-mail, and phone calls. I was constantly in the loop with what was going on and once this process was in their hands, I didn't have to worry about having to follow up or question what was happening with my rental. I could not be more satisfied with the outcome of such a stressful situation. They are trustworthy, professional, hard working, and went above and beyond for both myself and my new tenant. REVIEW FOR RODRIGO DE FARIA
Kudos and many thanks to Rodrigo for his guidance, assistance, and expertise with my recent NoMad apartment rental. We exchanged several helpful emails in advance of my search trip and Rodrigo had everything supremely organized when I arrived-- 5 hours late due to missed flight! But no worry-- he was calm and cool and we stayed on track. Once we found the ideal place, Rodrigo smoothed the way through the application and approval process, and ultimately provided me with all I need to know to set up house in Manhattan. One note -- I, myself, am a real estate broker in South Carolina and would heartily recommend Rodrigo as an ideal complement for an educated, knowledgeable client. PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY BROKER
Rodrigo is the ultimate professional, polite, courteous and helpful. Even though he was acting on behalf of the landlord, at no time did it feel like he wasn’t also looking out for my interests. Rodrigo was kind enough to film the apartment whilst I was away and was available immediately when I got back. He made sure everything was clean and working for the move in date and even checked in after I’d been there a week. Rodrigo is the consummate professional, and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.
